James' 2nd Birthday. (Sorry for how blurry the picture is.)
Took a family weekend trip up to Manitou and explored the mountains in a bigger truck we picked up in preparation for the addition of our third child on the way.
Kids loved all the room and windows.
The scenery was beautiful and the right amount of crisp in the air.
Could've spent months up there.
Vistas were really nice.
What's around the next bend.....?
Stopped by and visited the Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
And had lunch.
Aaaaand rode the pony. Don't worry, Clara got to ride too.
The red one is ours.
Seeing how the Cliff Dwellers lived.
Exploring ancient paths was fun. The kids were the right size.
James ready to follow his sister.
Staying cool with mommy.
Having fun finding the nooks and crannies.
Look! A balcony.
It would be fun to see it in the winter time or a rain storm to see how well it kept dry.
Got some good exercise in.
Almost done exploring.
Picked up a new shirt and it possibly, or something else, gave James a serious rash. We opted to stay that night in a hotel in Manitou and go swimming.
Curious James...could've named him curious George.
Back at Uncle Troy's and Aunt Stephanie's house where we lived until we found our house.
Took another trip up into the mountains hoping to find a snowy 4-wheel drive trail.
Clara quietly acting silly while James took a nap.
Back at Uncle Troy's practicing sledding for the next time it snows.
