Visitors in March 2010

Jen Came to visit in March for her birthday and we spent the week going around to different sights. Luray Caverns with chris, David and Kayla-We went to Baltimore Maryland and the aquarium and the piers were awesome. We drove to Delaware for a day trip to the beach. :)
We hiked in Shenandoah National forest and part of the Applachian Trail and we visited teh Battle of Manassas or the National Park where the first battle of the civil war started with Stonewall Jackson. Unfortunately I can't find the pictures of Jen and I so those aren't included at this time.

Chris and Kayla arrived the day before Jen left and on her birthday so that was the day we went to Luray and then out to dinner at Carrabbas for Jen.
The next day we took Chris and Kayla to DC and unknowingly missed our tour of the White House!!! Mix up of days!
We went to the Holocaust Museum which was amazing and a little traumatizing. We walked most everywhere. We went to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum where we also had lunch (don't eat the pulled pork!!) and then walked to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum for the end of our day.
By the time we headed home we were exhausted and sore footed. :) We had wonderful weather though and it was beautiful. The cherry blossom festival was scheduled to start 3 days from then. The next day we went to the spy museum and then had our tour of the capitol building. Then we went back to the spy museum to see everything we missed because we didn't tour it the first time we participated in a spy activity instead. :) LOTS OF FUN!
Since it was almost dark and traffic really stinks at that time of day in DC we decided to stay down there for dinner. And since we had skipped lunch we were starving and by the time we left the restaurant we were all ready to be rolled home...thank heavens chris drove and the rest of us could sit and relax...except for the directions part anyway. :)
The next day Chris and Kayla wanted to relax so we spent the day at home, ok the boys spent the day at home playing the X-Box and Kayla and I went out for groceries and etc. I let Kayla drive part of the way and she is an excellent driver. I don't know why she makes Chris nervous! lol! ;) When Kayla and I got back from shopping we decided we wanted to fly kites and the park and so we made the men leave the house for a little sunshine and family time. It was ALOT of fun...although the kite flying wasn't as successful since the wind was being tempermental.
We went to church on sunday and Chris and David decided they NEEDED to finish Halo before Chris and Kayla went home-they did it!!!
It was a great trip and we had an amazing and exhausting time with them.
